About CHEF-O-TRON

This site was quickly (and very roughly) cobbled together by Andy Hawkes because Alex Rushmer and Dhruv Baker were moaning about ridiculous seasonal foodstuffs on Twitter.

We're all a bit behind the times though, as Jay Rayner was moaning about all of this ages ago!

Anyway, so far that initial inspiration has resulted in:

• A not-entirely serious menu idea generator
• A culinary Bingo game to play while watching your favourite foodie TV show (but especially MasterChef here in the UK)
• A new product development bot focussing purely on delivering the "best" Christmas food concepts
• An entire(ly not very serious) tasting menu generator
• A Bake Off Bingo game

"So what's next?" I (don't) hear you cry?
How about:

• A twitter bot that tweets out random menu ideas
• More seasonal NPD bots - Easter seems like a prime candidate...
• More bingo games?
• Maybe some kind of blog featuring:
  • Foodie TV show reviews and commentary?
  • Restaurant reviews^*?
  • Light-hearted cookbook reviews?
• Or maybe nothing at all - it depends whether the whim takes me (and how busy I am with my day job)!

^* We've still not got back into eating out very often at the moment (something something pandemic something...), and fancy meals out are even rarer, but I am very open to blatant bribery and corruption if you want to offer me a nice table for two...
